On 16 February 2024, a delegation from the Tonichi, Otsuka Corporation and Willings from Japan visited IIT Roorkee for on enhancing collaboration in the realms of placement and internship opportunities for the Students of the IIT Roorkee. The visiting delegates included:

- Ankur (Willings)- Willings India Director
Notably, Prof. Vimal Chandra Srivastava, Dean of International Relations, and Prof. Kaushik Pal, Prof. In-charge Placement and Internship Cell engaged in insightful interactions with the delegates. The discussions centered around fostering collaboration for placements, internship opportunities for our students, initiating exchange programs, and between our institutions.
The collaborative efforts primarily concentrated on business collaboration proposals presented by Otsuka, aligning with our commitment to providing meaningful placement and internship opportunities for our students.
The visit encompassed a well-structured itinerary, including meetings with the IIT Roorkee Dean, IR, and the Professor in charge of the Placement and Internship Cell. Additionally, an engaging exchange program with 2nd-year students facilitated direct interaction between the delegates and our students.
