IIT Roorkee has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Villanova University, USA, for enhancing our academic and research collaboration.
The signing of the MoU took place during the visit of the delegate of Villanova University to IIT Roorkee on 16.07.2024. The MoU was signed by the heads of both institutions i.e. Prof. K.K. Pant, Director of IIT Roorkee, and Prof. C. Nataraj, Moritz Endowed Distinguished Professor of Villanova University, USA. Both Prof. Pant and Prof. Nataraj expressed their enthusiasm for this new chapter in the partnership, committing to fostering long-lasting and mutually beneficial collaborations between our esteemed institutions.
The signing ceremony was also attended by the Dean of International Relations, Prof. V.C. Srivastava, and Prof. S.P. Harsha, Chairman, JEE of IITR. The delegate visited the International Relations (IR) Office and interacted with the officials (Prof. V.C. Srivastava, Dean (IR), Prof. S.P. Harsha, Chairman, JEE and Prof. Sandeep Singh, Department of Earth Science). During the meeting, the group discussed the avenues of collaboration between overlapping research fields at IITR and Villanova University. There were also discussions on developing joint doctoral degree programs, student exchange programs, joint thesis supervision, and research collaborations between VU, and IITR.
This MoU symbolizes our ongoing commitment to academic excellence and global engagement, and we look forward to the exciting opportunities this partnership will bring.
