The IR Office welcomed Dr. Janusz Kozinski, Dean of Engineering at Lakehead University, Toronto, Canada, to IIT Roorkee. Dr. Kozinski is a globally renowned expert in sustainable energy systems and a visionary entrepreneur. He was accompanied by Prof. N. Siva Mohan Reddy from the Department of Chemical Engineering, IIT Roorkee.
Dr. Janusz Kozinski and Prof. Reddy visited the IR Office and engaged in meaningful discussions with Prof. Vimal Chandra Srivastava, Dean of International Relations, focusing on strategies to expand and enhance the collaboration between the two institutions. Prof. Srivastava highlighted IIT Roorkee’s commitment to fostering global partnerships and emphasized the potential for deeper academic and research engagements in key areas such as sustainable energy systems, advanced technologies, and interdisciplinary studies.
IIT Roorkee and Lakehead University share an established connection through the Mitacs Globalink Research Internship Program, enabling numerous IIT Roorkee students to undertake international internships at Lakehead University. These internships have provided students with transformative research experiences, exposing them to cutting-edge projects and fostering global perspectives.
