Visit of Professor Wataru Horiuchi from Osaka Metropolitan University, Japan to IIT Roorkee

The International Relations Office at the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee recently welcomed Professor Wataru Horiuchi from Osaka Metropolitan University, Japan, in a significant visit that marked almost three years of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two esteemed institutions. This visit reinforced the commitment to expanding the collaborative framework established under the MoU.

Prof. Vimal Chandra Srivastava, Dean of International Relations, and Prof. Rajdeep Chatterjee from the Department of Physics at IIT Roorkee, who have been key champions of this partnership since its inception, engaged in insightful discussions with Prof. Horiuchi. They explored opportunities to enhance collaborative research projects, initiate dynamic student exchange programs, and develop sustainable academic partnerships.

The visit laid the groundwork for expanding the scope of the MoU, focusing on interdisciplinary research and mutual academic growth, demonstrating IIT Roorkee’s dedication to global academic excellence and innovation.
