Horiba, Japan, Delegation Explores Collaborations with IIT Roorkee

On April 2025, representatives from Horiba India Japan visited the International Relations Office at IIT Roorkee to discuss exciting opportunities for collaboration. The delegation included Dr. Rajeev Gautam, President of HORIBA India Private Limited, and Ms. Kanika Thakur, who were accompanied by Prof. Sandeep Singh from the Department of Earth Sciences.

During their visit, the delegates met with Prof. Vimal Chandra Srivastava, Dean of International Relations. Discussions revolved around key areas, including internship and job opportunities for IIT Roorkee students at Horiba, as well as Horiba’s potential participation in SATHI (Sophisticated Analytical and Technical Help Institute) as part of its core group. The participants also explored the possibility of organizing workshops and seminars to bridge the gap between academic learning and industrial practices.

The meeting highlighted Horiba’s dedication to promoting academic-industry collaboration and its commitment to developing talent through real-world exposure and professional growth opportunities.
