IIT Roorkee Ph.D. Scholar Awarded Fulbright-Nehru Doctoral Research Fellowship 2025–2026

The Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee is delighted to announce that Ms. Shakshi Bhardwaj, a Ph.D. scholar under the supervision of Prof. Pradip Kumar Maji from the Department of Polymer and Process Engineering, has been awarded the prestigious Fulbright-Nehru Doctoral Research Fellowship for the academic year 2025–2026.

This esteemed fellowship, administered by the United States-India Educational Foundation (USIEF), supports outstanding Indian doctoral scholars to conduct advanced research at leading U.S. institutions. As part of the fellowship, Ms. Bhardwaj will pursue collaborative research at the University of Colorado Boulder, United States of America, furthering her work in cellulose-based functional materials and sustainable polymers.

On this significant achievement, Prof. K. K. Pant, Director of IIT Roorkee, extended his congratulations and said, “We are proud of Prof. Maji and Ms. Bhardwaj’s accomplishment.
