IIT Roorkee Delegation Engages with Hanyang University, South Korea Leadership for Strategic Collaboration

A delegation from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee comprising Prof. K.K. Pant (Director, IIT Roorkee), Prof. Vimal Chandra Srivastava (Dean, International Relations), and Prof. Suraj Prakash Harsha (Department of Mechanical & Industrial Engineering), recently visited Hanyang University, Seoul, South Korea, to explore opportunities for academic collaboration, research partnerships, and student exchange programs.

During the visit, the delegation from IIT Roorkee held productive discussions with key leaders of Hanyang University. Prof. Ki-jeong Lee, President of Hanyang University, warmly welcomed the delegation and highlighted the university’s dedication to building strong international partnerships in education and innovation. Prof. Hansung Kim, Vice President for International Affairs and Professor of Sociology, shared insights on potential collaborations, including joint research projects, dual degree programs, and collaborative seminars in the social sciences and humanities. Additionally, Prof. Tae-Hun Shim, from the Advanced Semiconductor Materials & Device Development Center, and Vice President of the Korea Semiconductor & Display Academy Society, discussed ongoing technological research and opportunities for cooperation in advanced semiconductor and engineering innovation.

The meeting reaffirmed the mutual commitment of both institutions to deepen their partnership in science, technology, and higher education, setting the stage for future collaborative initiatives.
