The International Relations Office, IIT Roorkee was pleased to welcome Dr. Aleah N. Sommers, Research Scientist, Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth, USA, during her recent visit to the institute.
Dr. Sommers delivered a talk in the Geospatial Lecture Series on the theme “Coupled Modeling and Collaborations: Understanding Himalayan Glacier Dynamics, Future Evolution, and Floods”, organized by the Department of Civil Engineering, IIT Roorkee.
During her visit, Dr. Sommers, accompanied by Prof. Saurabh Vijay, PhD, Department of Civil Engineering, called on our Dean of International Relations, Prof. Vimal Chandra Srivastava, to discuss avenues for strengthening collaborations in the areas of glacier dynamics, climate change, and sustainable water resource management.
IIT Roorkee looks forward to exploring future partnerships with Dartmouth College and advancing joint research in these globally significant domains.
