Prof. K. K. Pant, Director, IIT Roorkee along with Prof. Vimal Chandra Srivastava, Dean of International Relations, and Prof. S. H. Upadhyay, Head, Centre for Space Science & Technology, recently visited Sri Lanka to explore new avenues of academic and research collaboration.
During the visit, the delegation had the privilege of meeting Mr. Santosh Jha, High Commissioner of India to Sri Lanka, and Ms. Devika Lal, Head of Economic & Commercial Wing, High Commission of India, Colombo.
The discussions centered on deepening academic collaboration between India and Sri Lanka, emphasizing innovative joint research projects and vibrant faculty and student exchange programs.
By fostering dynamic workshops, cutting-edge conferences, and targeted training initiatives, both countries aim to cultivate expertise in emerging fields of shared interest. This collaborative framework aspires to spark intellectual synergy, accelerate knowledge exchange, and drive forward pioneering scholarship, ultimately strengthening the academic fabric and mutual growth of these neighboring nations.
