Visit of Russian House Delegation to IIT Roorkee

IIT Roorkee hosted a distinguished delegation from the Russian House, consisting of Ms. Anastasia Ilyushina (Youth Affairs Coordinator), Ms. Ekaterina Dynyak (Head of the Russian Language Institute), and Mr. Anar Isaev (Leading Specialist/Expert based in New Delhi). The delegation visited the campus to explore and strengthen academic, cultural, and research collaborations.

A meeting was held in the Board Room of the James Thomason Building, bringing together the delegation and the senior leadership of IIT Roorkee. Present at the meeting were Prof. K. K. Pant, Director; Prof. U. P. Singh, Deputy Director; Prof. Vimal Chandra Srivastava, Dean of International Relations; and Prof. R. K. Dutta, Prof. In-Charge, Career Development Cell. The discussions were interesting and forward-looking. Both sides proposed several avenues for collaboration, including joint research programmes in chemistry, materials science, and related areas; student and faculty exchange initiatives; campus-based Russian language and cultural activities; and collaborative seminars and workshops. The spirit of cooperation was evident throughout the discussions.

The delegation also took time to see the iconic James Thomason Building, a heritage structure at IIT Roorkee.
