IIT Roorkee had the pleasure of welcoming Dr. Augustina Alexander, Head of the Department of Water Resources Engineering and Director of Internationalization at the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM). Dr. Alexander visited IIT Roorkee as an invited participant for the XIIth Scientific Assembly of the International Association of Hydrological Sciences (IAHS 2025), scheduled to be held at IIT Roorkee from October 5–10, 2025.
During her visit, she met Prof. Vimal Chandra Srivastava, Dean of International Relations, IIT Roorkee, and the staff members of the IR Office, where they discussed potential areas of academic and research cooperation. Dr. Alexander expressed keen interest in establishing collaborative programs with the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, particularly in the fields of water resources, joint research projects, and capacity-building initiatives.
