IIT Roorkee had the pleasure of hosting Dr. Axel Bronstert, from the Institute of Environmental Sciences and Geography, University of Potsdam, who visited the institute as an invited participant for the XIIth Scientific Assembly of the International Association of Hydrological Sciences (IAHS 2025), held at the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, from October 5–10, 2025.
During his visit, Dr. Axel Bronstert visited the International Relations Office along with Prof. Ankit Agarwal from the Department of Hydrology and met Prof. Vimal Chandra Srivastava, Dean of International Relations, IIT Roorkee. The discussion centered on enhancing academic and research collaborations between IIT Roorkee and the University of Potsdam, building upon the existing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two institutions.
The meeting also explored potential joint initiatives in areas of hydrology, environmental sciences, and climate change research, aiming to further enhance faculty and student exchange programs between the two institutions.
