Visit of IIT Roorkee Delegation to Northwestern University, USA for Strengthening Academic Collaboration

A delegation from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, comprising Prof. K.K. Pant (Director, IIT Roorkee), Prof. Vimal Chandra Srivastava (Dean, International Relations & Professor, Department of Chemical Engineering), and Prof. Suraj Prakash Harsha (Professor, Department of Mechanical & Industrial Engineering), recently visited Northwestern University, Chicago, USA.

The visit aimed to deepen academic cooperation, explore new avenues of high-impact collaborative research, and enhance global engagement between the two premier institutions. The discussions centered on exploring joint research projects, faculty and student exchange programs, collaboratively developed academic modules, and the establishment of innovation-driven platforms in emerging interdisciplinary fields such as advanced materials, energy systems, design innovation, and next-generation engineering technologies.

The visit further deepened the growing partnership between IIT Roorkee and Northwestern University, with both parties affirming a strong, mutual commitment to fostering sustainable, impactful, and mutually beneficial academic collaborations.
