The International Relations Office, IIT Roorkee, recently welcomed a distinguished delegation from the Institute of Engineering (IOE), Tribhuvan University, IOE, Pulchowk Campus, Nepal. The delegation included Prof. Sushil B. Bajracharya (Dean, IOE), Prof. Binod K. Bhattarai (Assistant Dean, IOE), Prof. Sanjaya Uprety (Professor, IOE), Prof. Sahira Joshi, Head Department of Applied Sciences and Chemical Engineering, along with other esteemed faculty members from the Institute of Engineering (IOE Pulchowk Campus), Tribhuvan University.
During their visit, the delegates visited the Departments of Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Architecture & Planning. They interacted with the respective Heads of Departments, faculty members, and students while exploring potential avenues for academic collaboration and joint research.

A key highlight of the visit was the MoU signing ceremony held in the Board Room of the James Thomason Building, IIT Roorkee. The ceremony was chaired by Prof. K. K. Pant, Director IITR, in the presence of Prof. Vimal Chandra Srivastava (Dean, International Relations), Prof. Naveen Kumar Navani (Dean, Academic Affairs), Prof. Prasenjit Mondal (Head, Chemical Engineering), Prof. Arindam Biswas (Department of Architecture & Planning), and Prof. Dr Jeevanand Seshadrinath (Department of Electrical Engineering).

The MoU was signed by Prof. K. K. Pant, Director, IIT Roorkee, and Prof. Sushil B. Bajracharya, Dean, IOE, Tribhuvan University. This agreement aims to strengthen cooperation in academic exchange, joint research initiatives, student and faculty mobility, and capacity-building programs.
The delegation also visited various academic units and research facilities across the Institute to explore future opportunities for meaningful and interdisciplinary engagement. IIT Roorkee looks forward to a long-term, impactful, and mutually enriching partnership with IOE, Nepal.
