The Department of Paper & Packaging Technology, IIT Roorkee (DPPT) at the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, in coordination with the International Relations Office, was pleased to host Prof. Prof. Dr. Helga Zollner-Croll, Vice Dean of the Faculty, and Ms. Nina Kohr, Staff Member at the Institute for International Visiting Professorships (IVP) and Lecturer, Munich University of Applied Sciences, Germany, at the Saharanpur (SRE) Campus.
The visit aimed at exploring academic and research collaboration opportunities, particularly in the areas of Paper Technology, Packaging Technology, and related interdisciplinary fields.
During the visit, the delegation visited the Director’s Office and held a meeting with the Director IIT Roorkee, Prof. K. K. Pant. The meeting was attended by Prof. Vimal Chandra Srivastava, Dean of International Relations, IIT Roorkee; Prof. Kirtiraj K. Gaikwad, PhD, FLS, Head of Paper and Packaging Technology; and Prof. Ramjee Subramanium , Professor, Faculty of Paper Technology.

The delegation, along with Prof. Vimal Chandra Srivastava, Dean of International Relations, and Prof. Kirtiraj K. Gaikwad, also visited the International Relations Office to explore and strengthen a long-term institutional partnership between IIT Roorkee and Munich University of Applied Sciences.
During the discussions, several potential avenues of cooperation were explored, including one-semester student exchange programs at the Master’s level, co-supervision and collaboration for Master’s theses, the possibility of initiating a double-degree program, and faculty, PhD scholar, and research intern mobility.
