Visit of Prof. Thilini U. Ariyadasa from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka, to IIT Roorkee

Prof. (Ms.) Thilini U. Ariyadasa, Professor in the Department of Chemical and Process Engineering from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka, recently visited the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, as part of an academic engagement aimed at strengthening institutional ties between the two universities.

During her visit, she met with Prof. Vimal Chandra Srivastava, Dean of International Relations, IIT Roorkee. The discussions focused on enhancing academic cooperation and exploring opportunities for collaboration in research, education, and student and faculty exchange initiatives.

IIT Roorkee and the University of Moratuwa have a signed Letter of Intent (LoI) that serves as the foundation for long-term academic collaboration. Building on this LoI, both institutions are working towards finalizing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to formally establish the partnership and enable deeper, structured academic and research cooperation, benefiting students, faculty members, and the broader research ecosystem.
