The Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, was pleased to host a delegation from the National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU), including Prof. Di-Yan Wang (Professor, Department of Chemistry, NTNU), Prof. Sung‑Fang Stephen Chen (Executive Director, Instrumentation Center, Department of Chemistry, NTNU), and Prof. Wei-Nien-Su (Professor, Taiwan Tech).
During the visit, the delegation was accompanied by Prof. Soumitra Satapathi (Head, Centre for Sustainable Energy and Professor of the Department of Physics, IIT Roorkee) and met with Prof. Vimal Chandra Srivastava, Dean of International Relations, IIT Roorkee, and Prof. Vivek Malik, Dean, Sponsored Research & Industrial Consultancy.
Discussions focused on strengthening academic collaboration between IIT Roorkee and NTNU through joint research initiatives, faculty exchange programs, and student mobility opportunities. A key highlight of the meeting was the introduction of the Taiwan Experience Education Program (TEEP), which offers internship and research opportunities in Taiwan. Students from IIT Roorkee are encouraged to apply and gain international exposure through this initiative.
In addition, both institutions expressed strong interest in building partnerships in areas such as advanced instrumentation, sustainable chemistry, and interdisciplinary innovation, laying the foundation for long-term cooperation.
