Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee recently welcomed a distinguished delegation from the University of Bergen (UiB), Norway, led by Dr. Benjamin Robson (Associate Professor, Geomatics) and Dr. Willem van der Bilt (Researcher), together with other esteemed colleagues from UiB.
The delegation visited the International Relations Office, accompanied by Prof. DS Arya from the Department of Hydrology, and met with Prof. Vimal Chandra Srivastava, Dean of International Relations, IIT Roorkee. Prof. Srivastava emphasized IIT Roorkee’s vision for global academic engagement and highlighted the institution’s dedication to addressing shared challenges through international cooperation.
The discussions focused on fostering student exchange programs to promote academic mobility and enrich learning experiences for students of both institutions. Building on these dialogues, both sides expressed their commitment to strengthening collaboration in research, education, and capacity building.
