The Department of Water Resources Development and Management (WRDM), IIT Roorkee, recently hosted Prof. Nicola Fohrer and Dr. Uta Ulrich from the Department of Hydrology and Water Resources Management, Kiel University, Germany, who visited the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, as Keynote Speakers at the 4th Roorkee Water Conclave.
During their visit, the distinguished guests also visited the International Relations (IR) Office. They were accompanied by Prof. Ashish Pandey and Prof. Basant Yadav from the Department of Water Resources Development and Management (WRDM).
The delegation met with Prof. KARUN RAWAT, Dean of International Relations, IIT Roorkee, to discuss potential academic collaboration, research partnerships, and opportunities to strengthen international cooperation between IIT Roorkee and Kiel University in the fields of water resources and environmental research.
The visit provided an excellent platform to strengthen institutional ties and explore future collaborative initiatives in hydrology, water management, climate change adaptation, and sustainability.
