The International Relations Office, Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, was pleased to welcome Prof. Shreyas Kumar, Ph.D., from the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Texas A&M University, USA, during his recent visit to IIT Roorkee.
During his visit, Prof. Kumar met with Prof. KARUN RAWAT, Dean of International Relations, IIT Roorkee, and Prof. Kritika Kothari, Department of Water Resources Development and Management, Coordinator: Global Partnerships & International Mobility Programs, to discuss opportunities for strengthening academic and research collaboration between IIT Roorkee and Texas A&M University.
The discussions focused on exploring opportunities for joint research, faculty and student mobility, academic exchanges, and collaborative initiatives across emerging and interdisciplinary areas, building upon the Student Exchange Program established between the two institutions.
Prof. Kumar also met with Prof. Yogesh Kumar Sharma, Dean of Resources and Alumni Affairs (DORA) IIT Roorkee, for discussions on strengthening institutional engagement, alumni networks, and opportunities for broader international collaboration.
As part of his visit, Prof. Kumar also interacted with MBA students, sharing insights from his academic and professional experience and engaging with students on opportunities for international exposure, academic exchange, global careers, and cross-cultural learning.
The visit reflects IIT Roorkee’s continued commitment to expanding its global partnerships and creating meaningful opportunities for international academic mobility, knowledge exchange, student engagement, and impactful collaborative research.
