Roorkee Water Conclave 2020

Roorkee Water Conclave (RWC) is an international conference which organizes every two years in the area of various facets of water, that is jointly organized by IIT Roorkee and National Institute of Hydrology (NIH). The Roorkee Water Conclave 2020, held on February 26-28, 2020 was focused on “Hydrological Aspects of Climate Change”. Experts from different parts of countries participated in this international conference.

During this conclave, in the presence of various German delegates, an MoU between the University of Potsdam and IIT Roorkee got signed on February 26, 2020, in coordination with Prof. Ankit Agarwal, and International Relations office. This agreement will open a gateway for both the institutes in terms of research opportunities and goal of IITR internationalization.

The IR-Cell of IR office represented IIT Roorkee during this three-day conclave through an exhibition booth at the Multi Activity Centre. Dignitaries Prof. Vijay P. Singh (Texas A&M University, USA), Mr. Rajiv Ranjan Mishra (Director General of National Mission for Clean Ganga), and others dignitaries visited our IR office exhibition booth along with Prof. S.K. Singal (HoD, Hydro and Renewable Energy), and our Director Prof. A.K. Chaturvedi. Director introduced the IR office and its activities to them. Deputy Director Prof. Manoranjan Parida visited our booth and encouraged the efforts of IR office with words of keen encouragement.
