The recently launched “National Education Policy 2020” by Government of India insists on the need for an established internationalisation structure as a central organ of all the higher education institutions. Over the last months there have been intensive discussions on transnational education in India. To discuss the approach of international education providers to this topic, DAAD organized an informative event on November 18, 2020 aimed on Translational Education – Insights into the international discourse and global trends. During this event two international experts John McNamara, Global Head of Research, International Education Services, The British Council and Dr. Alexander Kupfer, Senior Expert, Transnational Education, German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) have shared their insights.
In continuation to above event, DAAD workshop on Internationalization was organized in two sessions on November 19-20, 2020. This seminar is a part of the programme “Dialogue on Innovative Higher Education Strategies” (DIES) jointly coordinated by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the German Rectors’ Conference (HRK). These events were hosted by Katja Lasch, Director DAAD New Delhi.
