NAFSA: Association of International Educators, the world’s largest association dedicated to international education and exchange, organized the NAFSA 2022 Annual Conference & Expo in Denver, Colorado, USA. It is the most diverse and comprehensive global event attended by professionals in the field of higher education from across the field. During this event from all over the globe, university representatives gathered and interacted for the internationalization activities, in Denver, Colorado from May 31 to June 3. IIT Roorkee was represented in NAFSA by Prof M L Sharma (Dean, Finance & Planning) and Dr Ravikant Ranjan (International Relations Office).
Promoting IIT Roorkee collaboration and exchanging promotional materials with the representative of Ritsumeikan University, Japan
It provided IIT Roorkee with an excellent opportunity to connect with the global international education community to discover the latest innovations, new strategies, and best practices in the field of internationalization. This conference provided a platform for institutional partnerships for a sustainable international education future.
Study in Brazil group extended the invitation to participate in the upcoming conference in Brazil
NAFSA 2022 Annual Conference & Expo had different conference sessions, the NAFSA International Education Expo, NAFSA SIgnature Programs like NAFSA Plenaries, Spotlight Presenters, poster fairs, and peer engagements. This also provides networking opportunities with potential future partners.

During the conference, the IIT Roorkee delegates discussed different aspects of internationalization with universities all across the globe e.g. Poland, Cuba, Brazil, UK, USA, Germany, Taiwan, Argentina, France, Peru, Russia, Australia, Japan, Canada among others. During these meetings student exchange programs, joint degree programs and faculty exchange dominated the discussion topics.

This also provided an excellent opportunity to meet and reaffirm collaboration with partner institute representatives in person. In this regard, Dr Ravikant Ranjan coordinated one to one meeting with representatives of NTHU ( Taiwan), ANU (Australia), ESTP (France), DAAD (Germany) ERASMUS (Europe), IIE (USA), Hokkaido University (Japan), representatives among others.
