An online meeting was held between IIT Roorkee and the University of Grenoble, France on September 14, 2022. Prof. Dr. Karine Evrard Samuel, Vice President for International Affairs at Université Grenoble Alpes and President of the International Association for Research in Logistics and Supply Chain Management (AIRL-SCM); Prof. Eirini Sarigiannidou, Vice-President of International Relations at Grenoble INP – UGA; Prof. Valerie Parry, Associate Professor Grenoble-INP, and Ms Anne-Marie Bona, Head of International Relations Office in charge of partnerships participated from the University of Grenoble, France. Whereas Prof P Arumugam, Dean of International Relations; Dr Ravikant Ranjan, Executive Officer; Dr Shantanu Wahal, Executive Officer- International Relations participated from IIT Roorkee. This meeting was organized to follow-up on the discussions taken place between the two institutes during the WORKSHOP FOR FRANCO-INDIAN CAMPUS FOR HEALTH on June 27-28, 2022 in New Delhi.
The group discussed various possibilities of collaborations between the two institutes including setting up department level exchange programs for students and faculty members, internships programs for students etc. More specifically, the group expressed interest in setting up a Joint Masters program in Nuclear Engineering. To make such a proposal stronger, it was decided to start with exchange of Master’s student in the aforementioned area. However, it was emphasized that student exchange shall be broader, covering other areas and doctoral students as well.
