Conference on Internationalization Strategies for IITs
Internationalization of higher education is fast evolving both in terms of knowledge exchange through mobility of personnel and research partnerships. New avenues of collaboration are being created due to ever growing number of countries and institutions entering the global talent pool. However, due to expanding landscape of internationalization of higher education new challenges are also emerging that call for devising new strategies and innovative approach to be undertaken by various stake holders. While student-centric programs such as semester exchange and joint degree programs are being organized between international institutes at an unprecedented regularity, funding these programs remains a big challenge for the partner institutes. On the other hand, submission of joint research and mobility proposals to global funding agencies by partnering international institutes require them to fulfil several prerequisite conditions that make it complicated and time consuming. Therefore, it can be understood there is no other more opportune time than now for different stake holders involved in internationalization of higher education to come on a platform to discuss various challenges and brain storm together to find solutions.
