Prof. Yongwon Seo from Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST), South Korea, visited the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee on 27 October 2026 as part of an ongoing research project sponsored by the Department Of Science And Technology (Dst).
During his visit, Prof. Seo met with Prof. KARUN RAWAT, Dean of International Relations, IIT Roorkee, along with Prof. Prasenjit Mondal, Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering, IIT Roorkee, Prof. Hari Prakash Veluswamy and Dr. Nilesh Choudhary, Department of Chemical Engineering Indian Institute of Technology Tirupati. The interaction focused on exploring opportunities for academic and research collaboration between IIT Roorkee and Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology, including potential joint research initiatives and strengthening institutional engagement.
Prof. Seo also participated as the plenary speaker and special guest at the symposium on “Gas Hydrates for Sustainable Energy and Environment: Applications, Innovations and Opportunities,” organized by the Department of Chemical Engineering, IIT Roorkee, on 28 October 2026.
