The delegation from IIT Roorkee visited the National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU), Taiwan to discuss the proposals for, joint degree programs, student exchange, student mobility and faculty exchange, including research collaborations.
From IIT Roorkee, Prof P Arumugam (Dean, International Relations & Dept of Physics), Prof Sudeb Dasgupta (Dept of ECE), and Mr Manish Anand (CEO, iHub (TIH)) and Dr Ravikant Ranjan (International Relations Office) had brainstorming and deliberations over expanding the cooperations with the representatives of NYCU.
From NYCU Prof. Edward Yi-Chang (Chief Director, MIRC), Prof. Yen-Cheng Kuan, Prof. Chin-Han Chung (Head, Division of Strategic Planning, Office of International Affairs) and Prof. Tian-Li Wu.
Later Prof. Yen-Cheng Kuan invited the IIT Roorkee delegates to a lab tour and explained the research work carried out in his lab and other research facilities. The faculty members from both sides discussed the possibility of research collaborations. Both sides discussed and exchanged Information about international engagements and Higher Education.
Apart from the research facility IIT-Roorkee delegation also visited the famous library of NYCU and toured around the campus and interacted with the student, Ms. Yun-Chen Lee, while visiting different colleges and academic facilities in NYCU.
