The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) organized the International Higher Education Dialogue (iHED) conference online on the web-based platform on 1-3 March 2023.
The stakeholders and higher education institutions from Germany, India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, and Sri Lanka participated to meet and exchange good practices related to Internationalization. The conference includes interactive sessions, panel discussions, B2B meetings and speed presentations.
There were different sessions for different themes during the three-day conference.
On Day 2, Prof P Arumugam, (Former Dean, International Relations, IIT Roorkee) participated in the session related to “Impact of Cooperation: Monitoring and Measurement”. He presented digitization and data integration at the International Relations office of IIT Roorkee and its impact on the internationalization at home. This session was moderated by Ms Shikha Singh from DAAD, New Delhi.
On day 1, Dr Ravikant Ranjan (Executive Officer, IR Office) was invited as panel member to discuss during the session “Opportunities and Barriers in Structured Exchange Programs”. Dr Ranjan is also part of DAAD Working Group working on publication related to Joint Degree Program by DAAD. This session was moderated by Mr Apoorv Mahendru from DAAD, New Delhi.
More than 30 international speakers and 300 representatives of approximately 150 higher education institutes joined to discuss models of cooperation, funding, good practice of partnership programs and trends in Internationalization of higher education.
