On February 15, 2024, the International Relations office welcomed a delegation from the University of Adelaide, Australia, at IIT Roorkee to promote collaboration between the University of Adelaide (UOA), Australia, and IIT Roorkee. The visiting delegates included:
- David Lewis, Head of the School of Chemical Engineering
- Shizhang Qiao, Chair Professor at the School of Chemical Engineering and Advanced Materials
- Amit Srivastava, Senior Lecturer
- K.D.P. Nigam, Adjunct Professor
The delegation had a fruitful meeting with Prof. K.K. Pant, Director of IIT Roorkee, and Prof. Vimal Chandra Srivastava, Dean of International Relations. The discussions were held regarding the joint academic degree programs, faculty exchange programs, and joint research proposals. Both sides discussed the opportunities available at IIT-Roorkee for collaboration and mobility.
The IR Office also hosted the meeting between the incoming delegates and IIT Roorkee faculty members. Prof V.C. Srivastava (Dean IR) interacted with the visiting delegates. This visit of the University of Adelaide delegation marks a significant step towards fostering International partnerships and academic excellence.
