We were delighted to host Dr. Daniel Moraru, Director of the Japan Society of Applied Physics, at the International Relations Office, IIT Roorkee. During his visit, Dr. Moraru interacted with Prof. P. Arumugam, filled in for Prof. V. C. Srivastava, Dean of International Relations, and Dr. Shantanu Wahal, Consultant for International Cooperation, alongside Prof. Arup Samanta from the Department of Physics.
The discussions highlighted potential avenues for collaboration in advanced research domains, joint academic programs, and student and faculty exchanges between IIT Roorkee and Japanese institutions. Dr. Moraru also emphasized the significance of international partnerships in driving innovation and fostering a global academic ecosystem.
This visit further strengthens IIT Roorkee’s efforts to establish impactful global collaborations and advance interdisciplinary research excellence.
