A delegation from IIT Roorkee recently visited the Institute for Water and Wastewater Technology (IWWT), Durban University of Technology (DUT), South Africa, to explore avenues of academic and research collaboration. The delegation was led by Prof. K. K. Pant, Director, IIT Roorkee, along with Prof. Vimal Chandra Srivastava, Dean of International Relations, and Prof. Brijesh Kumar Yadav, Department of Hydrology.

The team engaged in insightful discussions with Prof. Faizal Bux, Director, Institute for Water and Wastewater Technology (IWWT); Prof. Santhosh Kumar Pillai, Department of Biotechnology and Food Science; Prof. Sheena Kumari and other staff members of the IWWT lab. The delegation also interacted with IIT Roorkee alumni at DUT, further strengthening institutional and alumni connect.
As an outcome of very fruitful interaction, both institutions signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) to foster impactful collaboration and build a productive, long-lasting partnership in the field of water and wastewater research and innovation.
