A delegation from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, recently participated in the AI Impact Summit 2026, India, held at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, marking an important step in advancing international collaboration in artificial intelligence and advanced computing.
On this occasion, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the INDRC – International Neurodegenerative Disorders Research Center, Prague, Czech Republic, and the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee), India.
The MoU was formally signed by Prof. KARUN RAWAT, Dean of International Relations, IIT Roorkee, and Dr. Vít Dočkal, Director, INDRC. The signing ceremony was witnessed by Prof. Václav Snášel, Director, CLARA, and Prof. Vivek Malik, Dean (Sponsored Research and Industrial Consultancy), IIT Roorkee.

The ceremony was also attended by Prof. Sanjeev K. Malik, Head, MFSDSAI; Prof. Millie Pant, Dean (Saharanpur Campus) and Head, DAMSC; along with research scholars Mr. Shubham Joshi, Ms. Aashu Katharria, Ms. Princy Verma, and Mr. Ashish Kumar.
The agreement aims to promote collaborative research, academic exchange, capacity building, and joint initiatives in artificial intelligence and data science. Participation in the AI Impact Summit 2026 reflects IIT Roorkee’s continued commitment to strengthening global partnerships and advancing leadership in emerging technological domains.
