The International Relations Office, IIT Roorkee has an online meeting with Both University representatives. During the meeting, different aspects of internationalization were discussed. Botho University was represented by Dr Ivy Mathew Rose (Pro-Vice Chancellor of Academics and Quality, Botho University). Botho University has campuses (virtual & physical) in several African countries viz. Namibia, Botswana, Ghana, Lesotho and Eswatini (Swaziland). From IR Office, Dr Shantanu Wahal and Dr Ravikant Ranjan participated in the meeting.
Both sides discussed potential areas of cooperation regarding the Internationalization of Higher Education. During an hour-long discussion, several areas of cooperation were identified and both sides deliberated on student exchange, internships and faculty exchange programs. The participants discussed different regulations and requirements of Indian and African countries’ Education systems and academic calendars for student mobility. Both sides agreed to continue their communication channel open for cooperation and build the academic relationship.
