On Oct 16-17, 2023: A senior delegation from the University of Surrey, UK visited IIT Roorkee Campus. Recently there has been strong academic connections between IIT Roorkee & Uni of Surrey, after the execution of MoU. This visit was to strengthen the collaborations and find common grounds to expand the collaborations.
From Uni of Surrey, visiting delegation included: Prof. Satheesh Krishnamurthy ( Director of Surrey Ion Beam Centre), Dr Devendra Saroj (Head of the Centre for Environmental Health & Engineering), Prof. Tao Chen (Associate Dean (International), Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences & Professor of Digital Chemical Engineering ), Prof. Amelia Hadfield ( Dean (International) & Head of the Department of Politics) visited and interacted with different academic departments viz. Dept of Chemical Engineering, Dept of Physics and International Relations Office.
At the IR Office, the discussion was about the joint degree program, faculty exchange programs and joint research proposal. Both sides discussed the opportunities available at IIT-Roorkee for collaboration and mobility. Prof Vimal Chandra Srivastava (Dean, International Relations), Dr Shantanu Wahal and Dr Ravikant Ranjan (International Relations Office) interacted with the visiting delegates.
