IIT Roorkee signs MoU with King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL), Thailand for strengthening academic and research collaboration

On March 4, 2024, IIT Roorkee and King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL), Thailand, signed an MoU to strengthen academic and research collaboration between the two institutions. The signing ceremony took place during the visit of the KMITL delegation to IIT Roorkee.

The primary objective of the MoU is to enhance the ties between the two prestigious institutions and facilitate various collaborative activities in academics, research, and innovation. Through this partnership, both IIT Roorkee and KMITL aim to exchange knowledge, expertise, and resources, thereby improving the quality of education and research outcomes.

During their visit, the KMITL delegation was graciously hosted by Prof. Bhaskar Jyoti Deka, Department of Hydrology. Additionally, the International Relations (IR) Office organized a meeting between the visiting delegates and students from Thailand. Discussions were held regarding joint research projects, faculty exchanges, student exchange programs, joint workshops, and mobility opportunities.

The meeting was attended by Prof. Vimal Chandra Srivastava (Dean IR), Prof. P. Arumugam (Ex-Dean, IR), and Dr. Shantanu Wahal (Consultant, IR Office), who actively engaged with the visiting delegates, further fostering collaboration between the two institutions.
