Prof. Manika Prasad, Professor of Geophysics, Director of the Mines CCUS Innovation Center (MCIC), and co-director of the Center for Rock and Fluid Multiphysics, Colorado School of Mines, USA along with Prof. Ravi Sharma, Professor, Department of Earth Sciences, IITR visited the International Relations Office and interacted with Prof. Vimal Chandra Srivastava (Dean IR).
The primary agenda of the meeting was to explore possibilities for collaboration between the two institutions. It was agreed that the collaboration process would begin by sharing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) template with Colorado School of Mines. Once a generic MoU is signed, specific programs such as student exchange, faculty exchange, and joint degree programs will be considered.
This visit lays the foundation for potential future collaborations and partnerships between Colorado school of Mines and IIT Roorkee, fostering academic and research ties between the two esteemed institutions.
