Delegation from the Queen’s University, Canada, visited the International Relations Office at IIT Roorkee

Prof. Qingguo Li, Professor and Associate Head at the Ingenuity Labs Research Institute, and Prof. Heidi Ploeg, Chair for Women in Engineering, both from the Mechanical and Materials Engineering Faculty at Queen’s University, Canada, visited the International Relations Office at IIT Roorkee. They were accompanied by Prof. Bibhuti Ranjan Bhattacharya from the Department of Design at IIT Roorkee.

During their visit, they interacted with Prof. Vimal Chandra Srivastava, Dean of International Relations, to discuss new avenues for collaboration. The discussions centered around potential joint research projects, academic exchanges, and the development of innovative programs in fields such as biomechanical system design, energy harvesting, orthopedic biomechanics, and wearable sensors.

IIT Roorkee already shares a strong partnership with Queen’s University through an existing MoU, and this visit further reinforces our commitment to deepening academic and research ties with our esteemed partner university.
