Prof. Pratim Biswas, Dean of the College of Engineering & Professor of Chemical, Environmental, and Materials Engineering, and Prof. Ashutosh Agarwal, Professor of Biomedical Engineering, both from the University of Miami, U.S. visited the Department of Chemical Engineering at IIT Roorkee, and met with Prof. Prakash Biswas, Head of the Department, Prof. B. Prasad, and other esteemed faculty members.
During their visit, Prof. Pratim Biswas delivered an inspiring lecture on the importance of academic collaborations and the potential for groundbreaking research and innovation through international partnerships. His insights on fostering global academic networks were truly enlightening and set the stage for future collaborations.
Additionally, Prof. Vimal Chandra Srivastava, Dean of International Relations (Faculty of Chemical Engineering), had the opportunity to invite them to the International Relations Office. Accompanied by Prof. Prakash Biswas and Prof. B. Prasad, the delegates joined Prof. Srivastava for a detailed discussion on potential collaborations between IIT Roorkee and the University of Miami. This visit is a significant milestone in our ongoing efforts to build robust international collaborations that will benefit both institutions.
