Visit of Prof. Ching-Fu Chen from the National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Taiwan to IIT Roorkee

The International Relations Office at IIT Roorkee welcomed Prof. Ching-Fu Chen from the Department of Transportation and Communication Management Science at National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Taiwan.

During his visit, the Department of Civil Engineering organized a lecture titled “Eco-Mobility Experience in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.” This event gave students and faculty a unique opportunity to delve into eco-mobility, exploring innovative and sustainable transportation solutions prioritizing environmental conservation and urban efficiency. Prof. Chen’s insights shed light on Kaohsiung’s transformative journey toward green mobility, highlighting advanced practices, policy integration, and community engagement. The interactive Q&A session fostered a deeper understanding of how such approaches can be adapted globally, inspiring attendees to envision future-ready, sustainable urban transportation systems.”

Additionally, Prof. Ching-Fu Chen visited the International Relations Office, accompanied by Prof. Amit Agarwal, a Joint faculty member in the Mehta Family School of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. Together, they met with Prof. Vimal Chandra Srivastava, the Dean of International Relations, to discuss potential avenues for collaboration.

Their discussions focused on initiating joint academic programs, advancing interdisciplinary research projects, and organizing faculty and student exchange programs between NCKU and IIT Roorkee. They also discussed collaborative opportunities in emerging areas, such as smart mobility systems and data-driven transportation solutions, aiming to leverage mutual expertise for impactful global contributions.
