IIT Roorkee Strengthens Research Collaboration with A*STAR – Agency for Science, Technology and Research, Singapore

A high-level delegation from IIT Roorkee, led by Prof. K.K. Pant (Director), recently visited the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), Singapore, to explore new avenues for research collaboration and technological innovation. The delegation included Prof. Vimal Chandra Srivastava (Dean IR), Prof. Yogesh Sharma (Physics), Prof. Akanksha Tyagi (Civil Engineering), and Prof. Komal Tripathi (Chemical Engineering), who engaged in strategic discussions with esteemed A*STAR officials, including Prof. Yee-Chia Yeo (Deputy Chief Executive, Innovation & Enterprise), Dr. Navab Singh (Acting Deputy Executive Director, IME), Dr. Leow Wan Ru (Principal Scientist, ISCE & NTU), and Dr. Dr. Umesh Chand (Senior Scientist, IME).

As part of the visit, Prof. K.K. Pant and his team toured the cutting-edge laboratories of Dr. Navab Singh at the Institute of Microelectronics (IME), where pioneering research in semiconductor technologies and nanoelectronics is driving future innovations. Discussions focused on potential joint research projects, faculty and student exchanges, and collaborative initiatives in key scientific and technological fields. The delegation also explored A*STAR’s world-class research ecosystem at Biopolis and Fusionopolis, where groundbreaking advancements in biomedical sciences, physical sciences, and engineering are shaping the future of global innovation.
