IIT Roorkee recently welcomed representatives from the Universitetet i Bergen, Norway, to explore opportunities for strengthening academic collaboration and advancing global collaborations. The delegation included Dr. Benjamin Robson, an expert in Geomatics and Remote Sensing, and Dr. Willem van der Bilt, a Researcher.
The delegation visited the International Relations Office, accompanied by Prof. DS Arya, Dean of Administration, IITR along with Prof. Rishman Jot Kaur, Humanities and Social Sciences department, and met with Prof. Vimal Chandra Srivastava, Dean of International Relations, IIT Roorkee.
Prof. Shrivastava emphasized IIT Roorkee’s vision for global academic engagement and highlighted the institution’s dedication to addressing shared challenges through international cooperation. The discussions centered on developing student exchange programs to enhance academic mobility and broaden learning opportunities for students of both institutions. Additionally, they initiated plans to establish a generic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Bergen to create a formal framework for future collaborations.
