Prof. Ganesh N. Pandian, Head, Institute for Integrated Cell-Material Sciences (iCeMS) and INitiative for INtelligent ChemBioInformatics (IN-CBI), Kyoto University, Japan, recently visited the International Relations Office, where he interacted further with Prof. Vimal Chandra Srivastava, Dean of International Relations, to explore avenues of strengthening partnerships between IIT Roorkee and Kyoto University.
As part of his visit, the Department of Biosciences and Bioengineering (BSBE) organized an invited lecture on “Intelligent Theranostics by Precision Medicine” on 22nd August 2025 at the BSBE Auditorium. The lecture witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty, research scholars, and students, who benefitted from Prof. Ganesh’s pioneering insights in precision medicine, biosciences, and nanotechnology.
During his stay, Prof. Ganesh, along with Prof. Vimal Chandra Srivastava, Dean of International Relations, Prof. Arumugam Paramsivan, Department of Physics, and Prof. P. Gopinath, Department of Biosciences and Bioengineering, visited the Director’s Office at the James Thomson Building and met Prof. K.K. Pant, Director, IIT Roorkee. The discussions focused on deepening collaboration in biosciences, nanotechnology, and intelligent chem-bioinformatics through faculty/student exchanges, joint research, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
