IIT Roorkee and Université de Lorraine, France, Explore New Avenues for Academic and Research Cooperation

Prof. KARUN RAWAT, Dean of International Relations at Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, recently visited the Universite de Lorraine, France, and met with Dr. Cecile Nouvel to discuss strengthening academic cooperation between the two institutions.

Dr. Cécile Nouvel serves as Vice-President for International Strategy at Université de Lorraine, where she leads the university’s internationalization efforts, global partnerships, academic cooperation initiatives, and international mobility programs.

The discussions focused on enhancing existing collaborations and exploring new opportunities in student exchange, faculty mobility, joint research, dual-degree programs, and broader international academic engagement. Both institutions reaffirmed their commitment to fostering innovation, intercultural exchange, and excellence in higher education through meaningful global partnerships.

Particular emphasis was placed on strengthening ties in quantum technologies, data science, artificial intelligence, and sustainable energy through collaborative research projects and academic cooperation. The meeting highlighted the potential for joint initiatives that address global challenges through innovation and interdisciplinary research.
