Dr. Marenda Wilson-Pham, Associate Dean and Dr. Arun Kumar, Associate Professor and Program Director of Biotechnology in Center for Emerging and Infectious Diseases (CEID) from Rush University Graduate College visited IIT Roorkee on 31st July 2023.
The delegates from the Rush University (RU) were hosted by the Department of Bio-Sciences and Bio-Engineering (BSBE) at IITR.
The delegates along with Prof Pravindra Kumar, Head of Department BSBE also visited the International Relations (IR) Office to have an interaction with the officials (Prof P Arumugam, Dean IR (I/c), Dr Ravikant Ranjan, Exe. Office and Dr Shantanu Wahal Exe. Officer) on prospective partnership between RU and IITR. During the meeting, the group discussed the avenues of collaboration between overlapping research fields in IITR and RU. There were also discussions on developing joint doctoral degree program, student exchange programs, joint thesis supervision and research collaborations between RU and IITR.
