The Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kathmandu University, Nepal for academic collaboration. Kathmandu University is a public autonomous university, among top oldest universities in Nepal.
Prof Vimal C. Srivastava (Dean of International Relations & Prof-Chemical Engineering, IIT Roorkee) visited Kathmandu University to sign the MoU. During the signing function representing KU, Prof. Bhola Thapa (Vice Chancellor) , Prof. Uddhab Pyakurel (Director of Global Engagement Division, Office of the Vice Chancellor), Prof. Dr. Rajendra Gyanwali (Associate Director, KU-IRDP/NTIC) and rof. Bikash Adhikari were present.
During this meeting, the participants witnessed the signing of MoU and expressed the proposal for long-term academic collaborations, faculty exchange and joint research activities with IIT Roorkee. Prof Vimal C. Srivastava apprised about the long cooperation history between IIT Roorkee & Nepal. Both sides discussed various modalities of academic cooperations.
