Based on long standing collaborations with Institute of Engineering, Tribhuvan University (TU), Nepal, IIT Roorkee signed Dual Doctoral Degree Program (DDDP) Agreement recently. IIT Roorkee had earlier signed an MoU with TU. The Faculty members of the Department of Chemical Engineering (IIT Roorkee) have been conducting classes at TU and regular faculty exchange has been taking place for more than a year.
Tribuvan University is the oldest and the largest public autonomous university university in Nepal, with more than 50 campus offering academic programs across a wide range of disciplines.
From Institute of Engineering (IoE)-TU, Prof. Dr. Shashidhar Ram Joshi (Dean, Institute of Engineering, TU), Prof. Dr. Sushil Bahadur Bajracharya (Asst. Dean, Planning), Prof Binod Kumar Bhattarai (Asst Dean, Academic), Prof. Dr. Indra Prasad Acharya (Civil Engg.) and Prof Dr. Hemraj Pant ( Chemical Engg.) were present during the signing of DDDP Agreement, among others.
The IIT Roorkee was represented by Prof K.K. Pant (Director, IIT Roorkee), Prof Vimal C. Srivastava (Dean of International Relations & Professor, Chemical Engineering) and Dr Ravikant Ranjan (IR Office). The senior delegation visited IoE, TU and interacted with academic and administrative members for enhancing the bilateral collaborations further.
